Hand Embroidery Machine

One of the museum´s highlights is the functioning hand embroidery machine. This is a training machine from the golden age of the embroidery industry around 1890, 2.25 meters (2.45 yards) long with 156 needles. It helps answer numerous questions regarding machine embroidery technique and time involved, and demonstrates the embroiderers´ working process.

The machine is in operation Thursday and Friday afternoons from 12.30-5 pm and the following Saturdays (1-5 pm): 15.02./14.03./4.4./9.5./20.6.
On Friday, 1.5. the hand embroidery machine will not be put into operation.
