Protection concept of the Textile Museum and Textile Library
Dear visitors
We are pleased to continue to welcome you to the Textile Museum. In order to ensure your safety during your stay, the measures prescribed by the federal government and the canton of St. Gallen for the containment of the pandemic must currently be observed.
We will inform you on site about the valid measures and necessary behaviour. The staff of the Textile Museum will be happy to answer any questions you may have. However, they are also authorised to intervene in the event of inappropriate behaviour in order to protect other visitors and staff.
Protection concept
Covid certificate obligation
Access to the Textile Museum is only possible on presentation of the COVID certificate: visitors to the museum and the library as well as participants in events must prove that they have been vaccinated or have recovered (2 G). Persons over 16 years of age are subject to the certificate requirement. It is valid from 20.12.2021 until probably 24.1.2022.
Check
The certificate (app “Covid Certificate” or printout of the certificate with QR code) must be presented together with a valid identification document (passport, identity card, driver’s licence, residence permit, student card or SwissPass) at the visitor service in the entrance area. Users of the Textile Library must present the certificate to the librarian.
The Covid certificate check (app or printout) is carried out electronically via the Covid Certificate Check app published by the Swiss Confederation. No data is stored.
Obligatory wearing of masks
Masks must be worn in all rooms of the Textile Museum and the Textile Library in addition to the certificate requirement. Only children under 12 years of age and persons who can prove that they cannot wear face masks for special reasons, in particular medical reasons, are exempt from the obligation to wear masks.
Hygiene
Contact surfaces in the museum are cleaned regularly and intensively. Hand disinfectants are available for visitors and we ask you to make generous use of the offer. However, for your own safety, please touch as little as possible in the museum. All rooms of the Textile Museum are regularly aired.
Distance
The certificate requirement means that visitors no longer have to keep their distance. However, it is recommended to keep a distance of 1.5 metres to other persons, and we ask for considerate behaviour towards other visitors and staff of the Textile Museum.
Public events
The holding of public cultural events is permitted in accordance with federal regulations. The Covid certificate obligation applies to everybody who wants to join. Masks must we worn.
Schools
Guided tours and workshops for school groups are permitted. The following applies within a school group: School children aged 12 to 16 must wear a mask. Students from the age of 16 as well as teachers and accompanying persons must present a COVID certificate (2 G).
